Engineering College Dholpur successfully organized Startup Week 2025, a series of high-impact events dedicated to promoting startup culture, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students. The week-long program created a collaborative platform for industry experts, innovators, mentors, and budding student entrepreneurs.

Mr. Sanjay Sharma – Motivational Speaker on Rural Entrepreneurship & Social Enterprises

Key Highlights of the Session
Mr. Sanjay Sharma shared valuable insights on rural entrepreneurship, innovation opportunities in local markets, and how young engineers can build impactful solutions for rural India.

  • The Founder of Manjari Foundation described inspiring stories of women-led startup models, including the Basai Nawab Ladies’ Small Lending Bank, which empowers rural women through microfinance.
  • Another inspiring case shared was about Katori Products, showcasing how local talent can scale initiatives with the right support and innovation mindset.

Key Highlights of the Session :- The expert speaker Dr. OP Upadhay and Prof. Pankaj Mishra delivered an engaging lecture covering:

  • Types of Intellectual Property
  • Patent search and filing process
  • Copyright protection for software and digital content
  • Importance of IPR for startups and entrepreneurs
  • Case studies of successful innovations protected under IPR

Students actively interacted during the Q&A session and clarified doubts regarding patent eligibility, fees, documentation, and institutional support for IPR filing.

  • Students worked in teams to identify everyday problems and develop innovative idea solutions.

Demo Day (Idea show case day)

Engineering College Dholpur successfully organized Demo Day (Idea show case day) on 15 November 2025 to provide a platform for students to present their innovative ideas, prototypes, and startup concepts. The event aimed to promote creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking among students as part of the IIC activity calendar.

Event Highlights

1. A total of 12 teams participated in the Demo Day program.
2. Students presented ideas on technology, rural development, and healthcare.
3. Projects were evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, social impact, and clarity of presentation.
4. Expert panel included faculty members from the Computer Science and others Department mentors.
